Notitiæ historiæ ecclesiasticæ is a scientifically reviewed journal of the Institute of Church History at the Faculty of Theology, the Catholic University of Ruzomberok, which was founded in 2012 and is published on a regular basis in printed form. Due to its greater availability, for a broad professional and general public, we also offer it through this website.
The aim of this magazine is to publish original scientific papers not yet published in the field of church history and related disciplines. The content of the journal consists of scientific papers, expert articles, studies, processed historical sources in their original form and their translations into the Slovak language. Its content also includes expert reviews and annotations of published publications, interviews with personalities about special topics, news from conferences and interesting events from the field of church history.
The target group of the magazine is primarily professionals working in individual historical areas with a focus on church history, academics, students, graduates of the study program of history and its related departments and, last but not least, it is also intended for a wide range of people interested in learning about the history of the Church.
The magazine is published twice a year in June and December, and its subject is not temporally or territorially outlined. Contributions are published mostly in Slovak, Czech and English languages.
We will be glad if this magazine contributes to the research and publication of church history, which have a significant place in the history of mankind. Share your research with our magazine as well.
